70 Hide your money in different places.

If you wear a money belt or neck pouch, wear it on the inside of your
clothing. Take cash, a debit card, or a credit card—but don’t put them all in one
place. Put some in your wallet, in a money belt, in your shoe—I’ve even rolled
some emergency cash into a tube of lip balm. This way, a pickpocket is less likely
to get away with all your money. And remember: something as innocuous as a
button on your back pocket may be enough to deter thieves.
                71 Make a scene.

If you are being harassed in any way, draw attention to yourself by
shouting for help or carry a whistle with you. You can even wave to someone
nearby, greet them as if you know them, and run over to them for safety. If a
man is being too forward or handsy with you, act crazy if you have to! Remember
the adage, “a woman’s safety is more important than a man’s feelings.”
