4 Eat at the Quay Restaurant, Sydney
I highly recommend dinner at the Quay Restaurant before or a er
you see a performance at the Sydney Opera House. It’s situated literally
directly across the harbor from the Opera House, with spectacular views
(especially a er dark). This is a high-end restaurant, but I had one of the
best meals in my life. Their fish dishes are particularly excellent. You need
to make a reservation as far ahead as possible. Try to get a table next to
the windows facing the Opera House for an Australian dining experience
you won’t soon forget!

5 Get a SIM card
If you are planning on using your smartphone while abroad, unlock it before
leaving the U.S. and then purchase a local SIM card when you get to the airport
overseas. Telstra has the best coverage in Australia, for about $30 per day. They also
o er an international roaming plan and a prepaid option that will work for you in
New Zealand.
