PRIVATELY OWNED, PRIVATELY CHARTERED, OR
SHARED CHARTERS FOR IMMERSIVE DISCOVERIES
All ships in our fleet can navigate narrow waterways and off-the-
beaten-path ports, so you can expect to get a true sense of local culture
in lesser-known locales. Our 50-passenger Mediterranean small ships,
89-passenger M/V Clio, and 98-passenger M/V Corinthian are privately
owned, which means we’re the only group onboard and O.A.T. manages
every aspect of your voyage—from your crew to your meals—to ensure
your expectations are met. Our privately chartered vessels in Norway M/V Clio, Stockholm, Sweden
and the Arctic are purpose-built for their environments. For example,
the M/V Ocean Diamond is designed to ply the ice-filled waters of the
Arctic. Other non-O.A.T. travelers will be aboard our Havila coastal
voyage ship in Norway, with our own dining space and cabins.
ZODIACS, TENDERS, AND OTHER OPTIONS FOR
ACTIVE DISCOVERIES
On our itineraries in Italy, Croatia and the Arctic, we visit remote ports
that are only accessible by small boat or tender. To get to shore, you’ll
board a Zodiac craft or tender. Upon transferring to these vessels,
you’ll gain access to the most remote places. If you’re physically
suited, it’s a truly adventurous experience. If you’re looking for more
active ways to spend your free time, bikes are available aboard our
98-passenger M/V Corinthian, 89-passenger M/V Clio, and 50-passenger O.A.T. travelers, M/V Athena, Korcula, Croatia
Mediterranean ships.
CAMARADERIE AND CONVENIENCE
Your ship is more than just a means of transportation—it’s your home
away from home. In between scheduled activities, you’ll be comfortable
in common areas such as lounges, outdoor spaces, and bars aboard all of
our ships; and libraries on our privately owned ships. Plus, in groups as
small as ours, all travelers can be accommodated at once during onboard
discussions and open-seating meals, enabling you to form friendships
more easily. Our ships foster a welcoming atmosphere that feels more
like a family gathering while onboard.
SUPPORT THE PORTS AND WATERWAYS WE TRAVEL
With smaller engines and fewer people aboard, our ships leave a much Zodiac craft, Svalbard, Norway
lighter impact on the places we visit than the larger cruise ships.
Plus, we’ve eliminated all plastic bottles, straws, and bags aboard our
privately owned ships. And when you’re the only ship docked at the M/V Corinthian, Lisbon, Portugal
small Greek island of Patmos, you get to explore quaint local shops
instead of the traditional souvenir stands at more touristed ports.
With minimal environmental impact, and the ability to stimulate the
economies of smaller port towns that the larger cruise ships must
pass by, small ship travel is a more responsible way to spend your
travel dollar.
