right for our Trip Leaders to modify participation, or in some circumstances send travelers

PACING
• 6 locations in 16 days
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Not appropriate for travelers using wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility aids
• You must be able to walk 5-8 miles unassisted in the course of each day and to
participate in 6-8 hours of physical activities each day, as well as being able to stand
unassisted for up to 30 minutes at a time
• Our activities involve three hikes along the Santiago pilgrimage route. These include a
mile-long hike on a steep, unpaved road and a 2.5-mile hike on forest trails on Day 6.
Day 7 is especially active, with a 5.5-mile day of hiking on forest trails and walking the
city streets of Burgos.
• We reserve the right for Trip Leaders to restrict participation, or in some circumstances
send travelers home, if their limitations impact the group’s experience
CLIMATE

• Daytime temperatures in July and August often reach above 90°F
TERRAIN & TRANSPORTATION
• Walk over cobbled streets, uneven ground, unpaved roads, steep forest terrain, and
steep stairs
• Travel via private, air-conditioned bus and a river boat
