Luggage Limits

MAIN TRIP LIMITS

Pieces per person One checked bag and one carry-on per person.

Weight restrictions Checked baggage is limited to 33 lbs total; Carry-
ons are limited to 11 lbs total.

Size Restrictions Varies by airline. Measured in linear inches
(length+width+depth). Generally, 62 linear inches
is the checked bag limit; carry-on limit is 45
linear inches.

Luggage Type Duffel bag or soft-sided suitcase with wheels.
Please do not bring a hard-sided (clamshell)
suitcase.

TRIP EXTENSION(S) LIMITS

Same as main trip.

Luggage rules: Luggage rules and limits are set by governmental and airline policy. Enforcement of the
rules may include spot checks or may be inconsistent. However one thing is the same across the board:
If you are found to have oversized or overweight luggage, you will be subject to additional fees, to be
assessed by—and paid to—the airline in question.

Wheeled luggage is highly recommended as you will need to carry your own luggage at border
crossings.
