PRE-TRIP EXTENSION ITINERARY

Feel the cosmopolitan rhythm of Hanoi, the modern capital anchored by a tree-ringed lake. We’ll explore the
winding streets of the Old Quarter, admire the classic Vietnamese architecture of the Temple of Literature,
and witness a traditional water puppet show. Then, we dive into rural life during a visit to verdant Mai Chau
where we’ll learn about the area’s distinct culture before experiencing the region by water, as we spend two
nights cruising the calm, emerald waters of Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
