                                                                                           Hmong Hill Tribe :  On Day 8, we’ll
                                                                                         experience a Day in the Life in a Hmong
                                                                                         village in Laos and meet with the village
                                                                                         shaman, sit down for lunch that we will
                                                                                         help make, and discuss the tribe’s way
                                                                                         of life with village elders.
                                                                                           Family in Vientiane, Laos :  We’ll join a local family in their home in
                                                                                         Vientiane on Day 9 to taste traditional Laotian dishes and have an
                                                                                         open dialogue about daily life in the country’s capital.
                                                                                           Cambodian Khmer Children :  The Champey Academy of Arts
                                                                                         is a non-profit school that provides children in Phnom Penh the
                                                                                         chance to learn traditional Cambodian arts including dance,
                                                                                         music, and painting—for free. We’ll visit the school on Day 11 and
                                                                                         see a classical and folk Khmer dance performance by some of the
                                                                                         children who attend.

                                                                                             Locals Along the Mekong Delta :  During our sampan cruise
                                                                                         through the canals of Vietnam’s Mekong Delta on Day 17, we’ll
                                                                                         interact with a few locals along the way, including a family who
                                                                                         makes coconut candy and a couple who will teach us about a local
                                                                                         belief started by Ong Dao Dua, known as the “Coconut Monk.”
