on Day 5. As our hosts will be an upper-
middle class family, we’ll gain a unique
perspective of what modern city life
is like in sprawling Cairo—as well as provide an interesting
contrast to our more rural farmhouse discoveries, later on in the adventure.
A Local Farmer on the Nile : Get a true appreciation for daily country
life along the Nile as a local farmer shows us his animals and crops, then
welcomes us inside his family’s traditional mud-brick home for a home-
cooked meal during our A Day in the Life experience on Day 7. Here, we’ll
experience a simpler, slower pace as compared to our time in Cairo, yet no
less fascinating. Perhaps you will be enlisted to help prepare the family meal—
such as koshari, a filling dish made with chickpeas, rice, and noodles.
On Day 6, revel in the majesty of Luxor Temple.
